After earning his degree in Australia, Dr. Yu returned to Hong Kong to practice and has been a resident veterinarian at Wanchai Animal Clinic since 2014. In addition to internal medicine and surgery, he also specializes in veterinary acupuncture.

    "Ever since I was a child, I aspired to be a veterinarian. During my high school days, I often walked past the old location of the Wanchai Animal Clinic, making it my dream to work here one day. Years later, that dream came true when I was welcomed into the team as a resident veterinarian. I am further honored to have become partners with Dr. Michael Hilditch in 2024.

    Though I am a man of few words, I channel my energy into continuously honing my medical skills and striving for excellence. It is my lifelong vow to do everything in my power to heal and care for every animal that crosses my path.

Dr Angeline Wong

BVSc (Hons) – Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours)

Dr Angeline Wong graduated from the University of Sydney in 2007 with first-class honours. She moved back to Hong Kong in 2010 and worked at a small animal practice in Tin Hau for eight years before joining Wanchai and Shatin Animal Hospital. She has special interests in small animal internal medicine, dermatology, ultrasound imaging, and animal behaviour.
She strongly believes her role is more than just treating her patients because establishing a good relationship with the pet parents and their pets is equally important. She wants to be a family doctor for your beloved pets and share the journey together.

She has a Papillon, two cats, and a variety of exotic pets including frogs, geckos, and collared lizards. During her spare time, she enjoys taking her dog out for walks, visiting pet-friendly cafes, hiking, yoga, gym, music, and photography.

Dr. Xanthe Woycieh

Hi, I'm Xanthe.
​I hold a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Pretoria. Since qualifying in 2021, I have developed a well-rounded background in welfare and private practice across South Africa and the UK, before moving into emergency small animal medicine here in Hong Kong.

​My experience in emergency and critical care has been invaluable in strengthening my management of high-pressure, urgent cases. I am committed to ongoing professional development across all areas of small animal medicine and surgery, with a focus on providing thorough, high-quality care.

​Outside of the clinic, I enjoy hiking, horse riding, pottery, and music. I also have three dogs and a cat who live with my family in South Africa, who keep me inspired to do my best for every patient I see.
